Unlocking the Commercial & Industrial Market for Clean Energy

CURRENT STATE 
The organization currently has 3 C&I energy users signed-up in our platform.

GOAL STATE 

  • In the long-term, the Company's goal is to be ubiquitous and recognized as the standard for evaluating clean energy for any C&I building. 

DELIVERABLES 

The key deliverables for the team at the conclusion of this project would include: 

  • Assessment of how C&I energy users make electricity purchasing decisions, segmented by size of entity and industry, including: 
    • How they evaluate different options
    • What their internal decision-making process looks like
    • What their evaluation criteria are
    • What role software currently plays
    • What their openness to a ‘marketplace’ approach is 

  • Evaluation of how software and automation could help expedite the C&I clean energy purchasing process 

  • Evaluation of how the Company could participate in the C&I clean energy purchasing process 

  • Evaluation of the data/functionality that would be most relevant to a C&I energy user making an energy decision through a software platform 
The Company will use this information to:

  • Inform its product development efforts for energy users 

  • Develop its marketing strategy for energy users, including: 
    • Define market segments
    • Identify relevant channels
    • Identify decision-makers and craft contextual messaging
